LeClaire was founded in 1834 by Antoine LeClaire. It became the 29th state in 1846 and is the birthplace of Buffalo Bill Cody.
The town was home to river pilots who made their living navigating the hazardous river rapids where the Mississippi River takes a sharp bend in LeClaire.
Today, the city has approximately 4,700 residents who call LeClaire home. The city attracts residents, businesses and visitors with the natural beauty of the Mississippi River, a thriving business climate and high quality of life.
LeClaire is a community where individuals and families will find recreational opportunities, churches, civic organizations attractions and events, and an excellent school system.
Let the Chamber introduce you to the "quality of life" in our region and the incentives that our city provides.

The LeClaire Chamber of Commerce is a voluntary partnership of area businesses, organizations and individuals working together to build a healthy economy, while promoting and nurturing the quality of life in historic LeClaire.
